About the David C. Weber Foundation

The David C. Weber Foundation is a tax-exempt, private foundation created within the parameters of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, committed to international understanding, cross-cultural exchange and the study of foreign language and culture.
The Foundation supports the educational goals of students whom have chosen to study language, foreign or indigenous cultures, abroad or domestically. The Foundation also seeks to promote learning among driven, open-minded young Americans, with a focus on facilitating those students’ abilities to attend academic and cultural programs in foreign countries. This support will be given directly to students chosen by the trustees and/or to establish nonprofit organizations that support such students.
Individual beneficiaries. Students are selected by the trustees of the David C. Weber Foundation for annual grants, by written application and personal interview, and based upon the following criteria:
- Academic achievement, including previous study in a foreign language;
- A desire to study language and culture distinct from the Applicant’s native language, country of citizenship, or culture; and
3. Acceptance by a foreign language or cultural program that has been approved or endorsed by the language faculty of the school in which the Applicant is currently enrolled.
